Project Overview
Key Requirements
Little Sands was a new build residential project designed to create a contemporary family home with generous natural light, open living spaces and a strong connection to the garden.
The design required a practical and cohesive internal layout, expansive glazed openings and a carefully considered material palette. The finished home also needed to introduce a distinctive contemporary character while sitting comfortably within its established cul-de-sac setting.
The Build Process
Clements Building Contractors delivered the new home through each stage of construction and internal fit-out, working closely with the project team to achieve the architectural design and required level of finish.
Large aluminium sliding doors were installed within the kitchen, alongside glass-to-glass corner doors opening the principal living spaces directly onto the garden. These expansive glazed areas allow natural light to reach deep into the home and create a seamless transition between the interior and exterior.
Internally, the layout was designed to improve flow and openness throughout the property. A timber-and-glass staircase forms a central architectural feature, complemented by contemporary bathrooms, bespoke fitted joinery and carefully considered finishes.
Externally, zinc, natural stone and oak were combined to give the property a warm yet contemporary appearance, helping the new home sit naturally within its surroundings.
Outcome
The completed project is a light-filled contemporary family home with spacious interiors and a strong relationship to the garden.
Generous glazing, a carefully planned layout and high-quality finishes have created an open and welcoming living environment. The combination of zinc, stone, oak and bespoke internal detailing gives the property a distinctive architectural identity while retaining the warmth and practicality required of a modern home.
Little Sands demonstrates Clements Building Contractors’ ability to deliver a high-quality new build project with close attention to architectural intent, material quality and finishing detail.
